PLATTER OF FIGS, PROSCIUTTO, BURRATA and BALSAMIC REDUCTION
Appetizer trays like this one, we could offer you hundreds! Often, we improvise them with what we have on hand, but today, I wanted to share the "recipe" (in big quotes!) to create a refined and inviting tray. The star is the burrata cheese. If you have never dared to buy one, I invite you to try it! It has a very mild taste and a really unique creamy texture. I balance everything with a homemade balsamic reduction super easy to make. To your trays!
INGREDIENTS
Crackers, to serve
FOR BALSAMIC REDUCTION
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp honey
FOR THE TRAY
1 scoop (250 g) burrata cheese
125 g sliced prosciutto
8 figs, cut in 2
1/2 cup pickled olives
STEPS
Prepare the balsamic reduction: in a small saucepan, bring the balsamic vinegar to a boil and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat, add honey and let cool. Beautifully arrange all the ingredients "for the tray" on a serving board, tray or plate. Drizzle the balsamic reduction burrata cheese and enjoy with crackers.
NOTE
You could add nuts and dried fruit to your tray.
