HOMEMADE HODGEPODGE WITH PARMESAN CHEESE

The hodgepodge! A perfect snack to put in the bottom of your bag to snack when a little craving arrives. We don't often think about making it at home, and yet, it's easy and it allows us to customize it with the ingredients we love the most!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup butter
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
6 cups Shreddies cereal (made from rice, wheat or corn)
1 cup Cheerios style cereal
2 cups miniature pretzels
1 cup peanuts

STEPS

Preheat oven to 250°F, place rack in the center and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or reusable nonstick sheet. In a small cauldron, melt the butter. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Add the Parmesan, onion powder and garlic powder and mix well. In a large bowl, combine cereal, pretzels and peanuts. Add 1/2 the butter and mix well. Add the remaining butter and mix again so that all dry ingredients are coated. Spread on the baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool for 15 minutes.
