Broken spaghetti to make pasta and beans
Pasta and beans, a dish rich in nutrition and it takes very little to prepare it. With a few simple ingredients, you will bring to the table a tasty dish that will make even children happy. When I was a child, I was crazy about pasta and beans, I always ate double portions. 🙂 I learned how to cook this dish from my mom, who in turn learned from her mom. So, I can definitely say, that this is a traditional recipe from my family. As origins, pasta and beans are made in several regions and each region puts a pinch of its own into it. I propose pasta and beans as we make it in my family. I hope you like it, because it can't be otherwise! 😉
Ingredients
240 gr of spaghetti500 gr of fresh borlotti beans3 tablespoons of tomato puree1 clove of garlic1 stick of celery5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil1 pinch of peppersalt to taste1.5 liters of water
Preparation
Wash, dry and cut the celery stick into small pieces. Peel the garlic and divide it in half. In a large pot, put 1.5 liters of water, add the 5 tablespoons of oil, the chopped celery, the garlic, the 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce, the beans and cook for about an hour over low heat. At the end of cooking, while it is still boiling, add salt and a pinch of pepper. In the meantime, break the spaghetti to a length of about 3 cm (just to give you an idea), add them to the sauce and cook them, stirring occasionally. Once ready, plate the pasta and beans and serve it hot.
