Italian Whole Peeled tomatoes are the building blocks of deliciousness 🍅! Perfect for sauces, soups, and stews, they bring a burst of flavor to every dish!

Red buds rich in sun, stripped of the skins with the traditional process of heating in boiling water and immersed in their juice, fill the air with perfume every time you open a jar of Peeled Tomatoes. Produced with long fleshy and not very watery Italian tomatoes, they are ready to dive into any recipe bringing the flavor of summer in every season. First of all, how do you read the label of a package of peeled tomatoes? The Food Fact comes to our rescue with these notes to be sent down. Properly stored tomatoes have a life of 2 years but can reach more than 3. Normal, therefore, to find on the shelves packages prepared even 1 year before.

If you want them fresh, you have to decipher the code

The inscription consists of a letter of the alphabet followed by a number between 1 and 365. The letter indicates the year, while the number indicates the day the tomatoes were canned. There may also be a second letter after the number to indicate lots for periods of less than the working day. For example, when "E218" is indicated on a box of peeled tomatoes, it means that the packaging took place on the two hundred and eighteenth day of 2011, or August 6th: a suitable date for harvesting.

And now it's your turn. What is your favorite peeled tomato?
