Snow peas with cheese
What is being prepared? Are you looking for new ideas? Well, because today I want to propose a side dish a little different from the usual. The cheese snow peas are prepared by cleaning and washing the snow peas and then cook them in boiling water and then complete the cooking in a pan with pepper, oil and half of the Parmesan; At the end of cooking, sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Perfect combination with cheese that, melting, creates a tasty veil. Try them also!
Ingredients
Snow peas 800 g
Parmigiano Reggiano 50 g
Extra virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Preparation
Peel the snow peas with the help of a sharp knife, trim them and remove the filaments. Wash them thoroughly under running water, place a pot with plenty of lightly salted water on high heat and, as soon as it reaches the boil, throw the jackdaws. Boil for about 5 minutes. After this time, remove the pot from the heat and drain the snow peas on a clean cloth. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the snow peas for 2 minutes. Season with salt, season with a generous ground pepper and sprinkle with 1 dl of water. Continue cooking over moderate heat and covered pan, for another 10-15 minutes. When cooked, remove the pan from the heat, add half of the grated Parmesan cheese and mix everything gently. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese, cover the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
