2-3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
garlic and parsley (finely chopped)

Preparation

If you have purchased ready-made gnocchi, proceed to the preparation of the tomato and basil sauce and meatballs.

For meatballs

Remove the crust from the bread and cut it into pieces then dip it in warm milk for 10 minutes. In a bowl pour the meat, the well-squeezed bread, the whole egg, and aromatic herbs, Parmesan, salt and pepper and finally the breadcrumbs. Mix all the ingredients until the mixture is consistent. Moisten your hands and take a little dough at a time, twirling it between the palms of your hands obtaining many small meatballs as big as a cherry. In the large pan heat the tomato and basil sauce and when it reaches the boil add the meatballs leaving them to cook for about 10 minutes turning them with two spoons over low heat. Boil the gnocchi in boiling salted water, when they emerge collect them with a perforated scoop and transfer them directly to the pan with the tomato and basil sauce with meatballs, sauté to mix, add the Parmesan cheese and serve them immediately on the table and enjoy your meal!
