Ciliegiolo from Agriturismo Il Duchesco
A good glass of wine is the perfect complement to enhance the flavor of this dish, taking on the role of "guest of honor". Choosing the right wine is essential to enhance the flavors and aromatic notes of the dishes, enriching the culinary experience and making it even more enjoyable. Wine has always occupied a prestigious role on tables all over the world, a symbol of tradition, culture and elegance. Food and wine complement each other, creating a harmony of flavors that gives a unique sensation to the palate. The choice of wine for each dish represents a real alchemy: the combination must enhance the organoleptic qualities of both, giving a perfect balance between aromas and flavors. The Fattoria Il Duchesco covers 6 hectares dedicated to wine production, with native vines such as Ciliegiolo, Ansonica and Vermentino, grown close to the Uccellina Hills, in the heart of the Maremma Natural Park. A valuable production that has received well-deserved gratifications, such as the Bronze Medal for two consecutive years at the Decanter competition, as well as inclusion in the prestigious Slow Food and Regional guides.
Tasting note
A beautiful deep-ruby hue and the barest hint of fresh tannins. It combines fruit redolent of tangy cherries and small red berries with a luscious but dynamic palate of marked limestone minerality.
