Prosecco valdobbiadene doc with salmon



Salmon is one of the most used fish in Italian homes: baked, smoked on a slice of bread and butter, on avocado toast, in pasta... But what are the best wines to pair with salmon? Of course, it all depends on how it is cooked. As for smoked salmon, it is advisable to pair it with a Gewürztraminer, a typical wine from the province of Bolzano. Its strong and spicy aroma goes very well with the smoking of fish, enhancing it. Another wine that can be paired with salmon is Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOC: this type of brut sparkling wine goes well with fish without changing its taste and characteristics. It is ideal for both smoked salmon and salmon cooked in the oven or in a pan. In addition, prosecco is also recommended as an accompaniment to appetizers. Another white wine that can be combined with salmon is Chardonnay, which contrasts with fish without overlapping its flavor.
