Chicken breast is perhaps one of the leanest meats on the market, cooked without fat and seasoned with lemon and pink pepper, it becomes a really tasty but light dish. Let's see what we need to prepare this really tasty and light second course. You can therefore easily understand that, in this period, I am inclined to look for quick and practical solutions for meals: versatile, healthy and no less delicious dishes, but prepared in the blink of an eye. For all these reasons, lately I've been relying on this grilled chicken recipe several times. It's delicious when served with a side of sautéed rice and spinach, but you can also slice it with romaine lettuce and call it Caesar's salad, or roll it into a tortilla and enjoy a taco, or turn it into a tasty mayonnaise sandwich. All you need is a griddle (or BBQ) and you're good to go, enjoy!
Ingredients
300 g Chicken breast
1 Lemons
Pink pepper
Salt
Extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp Honey
Preparation
l Grilled chicken with lemon and pink pepper does not need any special steps or cooking techniques, being a light recipe it is prepared at the moment. However, if you want to give even more taste to the meat, which is known to remain rather anonymous in taste, you can flavor it. Put a griddle on the stove (preferably cast iron), heat it until it becomes hot. Place the chicken breast (which has been at least 30 minutes at room temperature before cooking) on the griddle and cook as needed on both sides. Be careful to cook the chicken well, turning it often so that the temperature reaches the heart of the meat. Halfway through cooking, start brushing the surface of the meat with honey mixed with lemon juice. When it is cooked, season it with extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and pink pepper. You can accompany it with fresh salad perhaps with seasonal vegetables, or with other side dishes such as baked potatoes, or sandy zucchini. In short, it is a light dish that really lends itself to many variations and side dishes.
