Roast pork with orange

The orange pork is one of the simplest preparations I know, a really good and fragrant second course! I must confess that I am not very good at preparing second courses, and for this reason I am always looking for simple but effective recipes. Today I want to offer you this dish, which, in addition to cooking "alone", as I say, always gets excellent feedback among the diners ... I assure you that when I proposed it during some lunch, some nephews "quarreled" the sauce to do the "scarpetta", in the face of good manners! 🙂 Of course for me ... a great satisfaction! It is not to be underestimated also, the fact that this recipe smells so much of... PARTY!

The pork loin is a rather lean cut of meat with which roast pork is prepared, a classic second course of home cooking. Ideal for long cooking, it can be cooked either in the oven, as the version or with tomato jam, in a pan as milk or in a pan as the orange loin that I propose here! Perfect to share with the family for Sunday lunch, this orange roast takes some time but will pay off with a tender and tasty result. Tap the slices with the cooking stock and bring to the table all the scent of orange pork!

Ingredients

1 kg Pork loin
40 g butter
2 glasses Orange juice
1 tsp Orange zest (grated)
1 cloveGarlic
Oregano
Chili pepper
salt and pepper

Preparation

Melt the butter in a pan. Add the orange juice passed through a strainer, a teaspoon of grated peel, garlic (I first chop it well), a pinch of chili pepper and one of oregano, salt, pepper and mix everything. If you have not bought it already seasoned with aromas, rub the meat with salt and pepper, put it in a baking dish, pour the prepared juice, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for an hour and a half. From time to time wet the meat with its sauce. Cut the meat into thin slices and serve with the sauce obtained.

Tip
If the sauce seems too liquid, do as I do: dilute a tablespoon of white flour with a little sauce, add it to the rest and cook for a few more minutes until you get a thick sauce with which to plug the slices.

Important!
Do not throw away the peels of oranges that you have squeezed ... rather put them in a freezer bag and... Freeze them, I will teach you how to recycle them getting a great dessert!
