Presented on October 28th the first "creative" beer of the Schleppe Craft Brewery 

Since 1607, the Schleppe brewery in Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia in Austria, has been cultivating beer craftsmanship at the highest level thanks to its beer specialties in which brewing art and passion come together. For the most demanding beer consumers, Schleppe offers an innovative variety of specialty beers. Our customers appreciate the highest quality! President Clemens Aigner is convinced. Schleppe's exquisitely hoppy specialties are the result of art and tradition combined with continuous innovations. Brewed naturally according to the Reinheitsgebot of 1516, Schleppe beers use only the highest quality raw materials; Today, Schleppe Brauerei combines the first "creative" beer with numerous specialties such as Zwickl, Premium, Bock and Pils, which complement the classic Märzen beer: Schleppe No. 1. The creativity and expertise of its brewers are combined with the brewing tradition of over 400 years and the typical harmonious character of all Schleppe specialties.

Schleppe No. 1 is aimed at people who are open to new experiences, who want to taste beers of the highest quality brewed to perfection with that pinch of imagination and heart that make them unique. With Schleppe No.1 the brewery returns to its roots in top-fermentation, cultivated until the 19th century as a primary production. The brewers Rudolf Kohlweg and Klaus Pink have approached the style of English Pale Ales and interpreted it according to their Schleppe tradition, creating a particularly balanced beer that is unique in aroma and taste. Three selected hop specialties, Citra, Aurora and Cascade, fine barley malt, crystal clear spring water from the Kreuzbergl nature reserve as well as artisanal and careful processing come together in a very special beer.

The Schleppe No. 1, with an alcohol content of 5.3% vol. and a Plato content of 12.8%, is amber in color with a cap of fine and dense cream foam. The aroma is reminiscent of ripe fruits such as passion fruit and rhubarb. The first sip deepens the tension again, caused by the delicate scent. The creamy softness and exquisitely sparkling liveliness dance from the tongue to the palate. The mouthfeel is pampered with a fruity taste. Then there is a hop aroma in a wide range: dry, resinous and fruity again. Schleppe No. 1. It's playfulness and pure harmony at the same time.
