Peaches in wine
Red wine peaches are a delicious dessert prepared by peeling peaches to sprinkle them with sugar leaving them to rest for about 1 hour while boiling the wine with more sugar and cinnamon. When it's hot and you're in company, nothing better than peaches in red wine at the end of a meal. The peaches are flavored with wine in turn, then with lemon and cinnamon flavors everything even more. It is clearly a very simple recipe, without cooking and not too expensive, the only precaution is the quality of the raw materials used. It will only take you a few minutes to prepare it, plus the rest time in the refrigerator... Peaches in red wine are a kind of Italian sangria. They can be enjoyed at the end of a meal or at a dinner with friends. Here are all the steps of the recipe for peaches in red wine.
Ingredients
1 l red wine
5 peaches
1 lemon
2 cinnamon sticks
Preparation
Wash your peaches carefully. If they are yellow peaches or in any case of the type with down, before cutting them into slices, I advise you to peel them. If you have peaches available, you can leave them with their skin. My favorite for this preparation are yellow hard peaches, with firm and compact pulp but you use the ones you have available without too many problems. The important thing is that they are ripe but firm. Fill a carafe with the slices of peaches, add the cinnamon sticks and the lemon slices. The wine must completely cover both peaches and lemon slices. Fill everything with a bottle of red wine, a good wine! Place the carafe in the refrigerator and serve its cold contents to your guests.
