Seafood pizza is an Italian specialty offered in many restaurants and that you will be able to prepare at home by following a few simple steps. Pizza is one of the cornerstones of Italian cuisine and combined with seafood becomes an even more delicious and tasty dish: a classic and crunchy base at the right point with a seasoning of tomato pulp and seafood to taste. A special pizza that will satisfy lovers of fish and Mediterranean flavors.

Seafood pizza is one of those things that are tempting, because it contains all the gluttony of pizza, with a touch that tastes of the sea. This version, without mozzarella but with a base of tomato and garlic that is closer to Marinara, in my opinion harmoniously binds all the flavors. The seafood, in this case shrimp, cuttlefish and octopus must all be previously cleaned and boiled, and the mussels, opened in a pan and deprived of the shell. Once you have prepared and rolled out the dough you prefer, mix in a bowl 100 g of tomato puree, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a pinch of chopped dried oregano, a clove of finely chopped garlic and a pinch of salt, then use this sauce to season the base of the pizza. Transfer the pizza thus seasoned in the oven preheated to 250 ° C with the grill on and let it cook for about 10 minutes, then take it out of the oven, sprinkle with 3 shelled and boiled shrimps, 4-5 small cuttlefish cleaned and already boiled, 1 tentacle of boiled octopus cut into pieces, 6-8 shelled mussels and a few leaves of fresh basil, Then sprinkle everything with a little bit of chopped dried oregano and put the pizza back in the oven until it is completely cooked, the edges of the dough will be golden and the bottom of the pizza will be nice dry. Cooking times can vary not only depending on the type of dough used and its thickness, but also depending on the quality of the ingredients used and the type of oven, because each oven cooks differently.

Once cooked, take it out of the oven and serve immediately.
