Ricotta and prosciutto rolls

I ate the prosciutto rolls for the first time in the canteen in Montreal: delicate, light and simple. But who said that in the canteen you eat badly? Proposing them again at my house was a child's game! I presented them accompanied by peas with cooked prosciutto for a light dinner (2 rolls per portion); They can be served as an appetizer. Baked prosciutto rolls, a delicious recipe, ideal for appetizers or fabulous dinners, ready in no time.

The recipe that I am going to show you is a real discovery, a succulent and very simple dish to prepare perfect for the whole family, from children to adults, the baked prosciutto rolls, delicious slices of cooked prosciutto, stuffed with ricotta and spinach, all covered with béchamel sauce and cheese, a set of flavors that leaves you speechless. A few simple ingredients, which you can vary according to your imagination, to always propose a tasty and captivating dish. But let's see together the ingredients and the preparation for this really easy and succulent sprint recipe.

Ingredients for 6 people

500 g cooked prosciutto cut into thick slices
250 g cheese mozzarella
3 eggs
500 g ricotta cheese
400 g frozen spinach
2 tablespoons grated cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

For the béchamel sauce

1 l milk
Butter 100 g
Flour 100 g
1 pinch of salt
Nutmeg to taste
Salt to taste

Procedure

To make this recipe, soften the ricotta in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Cook the eggs, in a pot with water, heat the eggs for about 15/20 minutes, remove the peel and pour into the bowl together with the ricotta, to which you will also add the mozzarella cheese cut into small pieces. In a pot with a little salted water cook the spinach for the time indicated on the package, then drain and chop them in a mixer coarsely, pour everything into the bowl together with the ricotta. When the ingredients are perfectly blended, form a cylindrical shape with your hands and wrap the dough with the slice of cooked prosciutto. Once the ingredients are finished, transfer them to a baking dish. Meanwhile, prepare the béchamel sauce. In a pot pour the sifted flour together with the butter, salt and nutmeg, milk and cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes until it is thickened. Now, pour the béchamel sauce into the baking dish with the ham rolls, bake in a preheated oven at 180 C degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve. Enjoy your meal.
