Primitivo wine of Manduria

Serious wine from deep Southern Italy; Manduria. While reading a book about Zinfandel I felt the urge to taste something similar... This has got sun-drenched dark fruits; brambles, black cherries, vanilla, orange peel and sandalwood. On the palate medium acidity and medium tannins. A little sweetish and spicy; orange peel, dark fruits, spices, nicely balanced. Serious wine, full bodied; A medium lingering finish. Very nice for when the sun is down after a long hot day!

Tasting note
Purplish red. Intense and complex, with hints of red berry fruit. Dry and soft, tannic and persistent.
