Charred melon and prosciutto with Marsala caramel
The melon with marsala is a quick and delicious appetizer that is prepared on the spot and that replaces any other appetizer, it is delicious and its success lies in using excellent ingredients, a ripe and sweet melon and an excellent marsala.
Ingredients
1 melon
1 glass of Marsala
brown sugar
Preparation
Peel the melon and cut it in half, then extract seeds and filaments and cut it into fairly thin slices. Put the melon slices on a serving dish and pour over a couple of tablespoons of Marsala, add a little brown sugar and let rest for a few minutes. If you want you can also prepare this dish in a pan, put a little of marsala and reduce it to high heat with a little sugar and then pour the melon and cook all together for a few minutes. It is good both ways, for the summer I recommend the first version. Lay on a platter and drizzle over the Marsala caramel.
