Pizza with raw prosciutto, mozzarella and basil



The Pizza with raw prosciutto and mozzarella is a very tasty pizza despite the simplicity of its ingredients. In addition to pizza dough, in fact, to make it we must have essentially four ingredients available: as can be seen from the title, raw prosciutto and mozzarella are indispensable first of all. And then the good extra virgin olive oil and tomato puree, which we can omit if we intend to make a white version of this pizza. Therefore, since these are few ingredients, it is essential that they are of excellent quality. This pizza has really conquered me not only for its simplicity but above all for its delicate and succulent flavor. A simple topping for a truly superb pizza!

Ingredients for the dressing:

4-5 slices of raw prosciutto 
250 g mozzarella 
about 250 ml of tomato puree
fresh basil
extra virgin olive oil to taste
salt
Pepper

Method

Line the dough on a baking sheet greased with oil. Season the tomato sauce with a pinch of salt and pepper and spread it on the surface of the pizza. Season with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 220 C degrees for about 20 minutes. A few minutes before the end of cooking, distribute the mozzarella previously cut into cubes on the pizza and left to drain from the excess water. Put the pizza back in the oven to melt the mozzarella. As soon as the cooking is finished, season the pizza with sliced prosciutto and fresh basil. Serve hot pizza with prosciutto and mozzarella.
