This lobster tail recipe is amazing because you can get grilled lobster tails at home, without making a big mess! These lobster tails are ideal for a romantic dinner with someone on a low-carb diet, because lobster tails are a naturally ketogenic diet food! If you're looking for a romantic low-carb dinner, you couldn't be more romantic than these grilled butter garlic lobster tails!

You can also prepare this recipe a lot in advance by preparing everything to be ready until just before your big romantic lobster dinner. Also prepare the lemon and garlic butter in advance: just roast the garlic slowly and let the butter cool before adding it to the lobster tails during cooking. You can clean, cut and prepare lobster tails before dinner, simply wrap them in plastic wrap and keep them refrigerated until ready to cook them. Since these lobster tails take about 10 minutes to cook, prepare them in advance, but wait until you're ready to eat. Heated lobster is great for soups, casseroles or macaroni and cheese, but I recommend heating and serving lobster tails in their shells.

Make sure you don't overcook the lobster. Lobster should be slightly sweet, buttery and elastic; When overcooked, it dries out and becomes chewy and stringy. Watch the lobster for a nice dull color (it should be bright white instead of bluish), despite the redness of the shell or lobster meat (not all lobsters turn red).

Keep it simple.
Lobster meat is beautiful on its own — no need to overdo it with tons of flavor or seasonings. I like simple, fresh ingredients to extract the lobster flavor, and this lobster tail recipe with garlic butter and lemon highlights the lobster's rich butter flavor without overwhelming it.

I like to keep lobster in the shell. To make your lobster a little prettier, take a slice of lemon and slide under the lobster tail (so it is between the shell and the lobster meat) to cook it: lobster meat will appear and make the tail bigger and fuller!

Lobster tails
Baking sheet
Kitchen shears
Small frying pan
Sharp knife

Ingredients

2 lobster tails
4 tablespoons butter 
1/4 cup chopped garlic
juice of 1 lemon
Sea salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1.2 teaspoons white pepper
2 tablespoons diced parsley

Guidelines

Preheat the grill to high temperature. In a large pan add 4 tablespoons of butter and garlic, cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally to avoid burning while preparing the lobster. Place lobster tails on a baking sheet or baking sheet. Using a knife, carefully cut the top of the lobster's tail to the tip of the tail, avoiding meat. Drain and remove any crustacean if necessary. Gently pull the shell down so that the meat appears on the shell and opens. Mix the spices in a small bowl.
Sprinkle with spices. Add small portions of butter along the tail of the lobster. Place in the oven on a medium upper rack. Cook until the meat is opaque and white, about 8-10 minutes. After 6 minutes, add 3/4 of butter and garlic from the lobster pan, drizzling on the lobster tails. Remove and serve immediately with the rest of the garlic and butter.

VARIATIONS
Want a little more flavor on these fantastic lobster tails? Try a delicious lemon and pepper butter or use Cajun seasoning to make Cajun butter! Just add your favorite seasoning to the melted butter, then stir and brush the lobster tails!

NOTES
You'll typically have options between cold water and hot water lobster. Cold-water lobster is preferable because they have a more tender white flesh and a cleaner taste. Hot water lobster is softer and can sometimes have an unpleasant taste. You can ask your fish guy at your grocery store if the lobster they provide is cold water or hot water.
