Spicy Meatballs

Spicy Meatballs with Tomato Sauce. Come on, let's face it, but who doesn't love meatballs? Today I leave you the recipe for my spicy meatballs, very tasty and easy to make! Perfect result guaranteed!
They are soft, delicious and not fried, in fact they are cooked directly in the pot with the tomato sauce. The addition of garlic and a few drops of Tabasco sauce give the meatballs a spicy note that makes them even better and tastier! 😋 Tabasco sauce is an American hot sauce made from chili peppers, a few drops give an exquisite spicy flavor without covering the taste. You can find it in all supermarkets but if you can't find it you can replace it with fresh chili. Let's see together how to prepare the meatballs.

Ingredients

Minced meat 100 g
Stale bread
Milk 50 g
Parmigiano Reggiano
1 Egg
5 drops Tabasco sauce
1 clove Garlic
Salt
Pepper

Ingredients for the tomato sauce
700 g Tomato puree
1 clove Garlic
Extra virgin olive oil
Salt

Preparation

Preparing Spicy Meatballs with Sauce is very easy. First of all, soften the stale bread in milk (if you don't have stale bread you can use sandwich bread). In a bowl, pour the minced meat (adult beef), the softened and squeezed bread, the grated cheese and an egg. Mix well with a fork until the mixture is smooth. Season with salt and pepper and add a finely chopped garlic clove and 4-5 drops of Tabasco sauce (or more depending on taste). Mix well then form the meatballs. At this point, pour a drizzle of oil and a whole but peeled garlic clove into a large pot. Sauté over low heat for a few minutes. At this point, remove the garlic and pour in the tomato puree. Add half a glass of water, salt and pepper. If you like, you can add a few drops of Tabasco. Pour the meatballs into the pot side by side a little apart and cook together with the sauce for about 10 minutes over low heat with a lid. Then we move the pan a little to prevent the meatballs from sticking and with a spoon pour a little sauce over the meatballs. Cover with a lid and cook for another 5 minutes. At this point, with the help of a spoon, turn the meatballs to the other side and cook for another 10 minutes, always with the lid on. At the end, add some chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm or hot.
