Breaded shrimp appetizer

Breaded prawns a perfect recipe both as a second course but also as an appetizer. Fried prawns are one of my wife's favorite dishes who loves shrimp and loves fried food and so why not please her since this morning I found some really fabulous shrimp from the fishmonger and above all it is a little less hot and raining, the desire to cook is a bit back? The fried prawns are made with a special breading that also allows you to bake them but I assure you that fried are another story. So if you still have doubts about how to cook your breaded prawns in the meantime run to buy them then read the ingredients and on the way home decide how you want to make them. And now... Well, fasten your apron...!

Ingredients

16 Prawns
200 g Breadcrumbs
100 g Parmigiano Reggiano
1 clove Garlic
Parsley
Salt
Peanut oil
1 egg white

Preparation

First clean the shrimp. Remove the head and legs and remove the carapace leaving only the tail. If you want you can remove the carapace leaving only the head and tail attached but remove any black line above because it is bitter. Put in a bowl the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan, a pinch of salt and finely chopped parsley and garlic. Mix well with your hands. Beat the egg white in a small bowl and pass each shrimp first in the beaten egg and then in the breading making sure that it adheres completely. If you want you can repeat the operation to create an even more crunchy breading. Heat plenty of peanut oil in a high-sided pot and, when it is hot, dip the shrimp for about 5/10 minutes until they are golden. Drain the shrimp on absorbent paper and serve immediately hot.

Note
If you want to avoid the egg you can pass the shrimp in milk before breading. Do not overcook the shrimp otherwise they will be hard.

If you love prawns like me then the shrimp I propose you to also make the recipe of shrimp skewers with lime: fabulous!
