It was founded by Aldo Conterno in 1969, on his return from a long trip to California, but the Conterno family's winemaking tradition has more remote roots: already during the nineteenth century the progenitor Giuseppe Conterno managed a small winery in Monforte d'Alba and in 1920 the first bottles of Barolo Riserva were bottled. Today the Poderi are managed by Aldo's three sons: Franco, Stefano and Giacomo, who continue the business with all the passion and competence of those who feel invested with an extraordinary legacy.
