American Steak & Eggs
What is the American Breakfast? The American breakfast often consists of a cereal recipe and/or an egg recipe. However, other products are also widely used, such as pancakes, waffles and many variations of the full English breakfast (bacon, sausages, eggs, other cooked foods and a drink such as American coffee or tea) and the continental breakfast (fruit juice, coffee and buttered bread and / or with jam). Steak and eggs: beef steak with fried eggs on toast. Steaks or slices and fried eggs, are a really delicious second course, easy to prepare and above all fast. When I was little, my mother prepared this delicious second course and, every time its scent invaded the house, it was immediately a party! So, these steaks will be appreciated by everyone, even and especially by your children. Steaks are a complete and nutritious second course and I recommend accompanying it with a fresh salad or with roasted potatoes in the oven or au gratin or boiled potatoes with parsley.
An international dish, with a high protein value, easy and quick to make, involves steaks covered with fried eggs. Making it is very simple and is prepared in a few minutes: find out below how to do it best!
Ingredients
2 slices of beef steak2 eggsextra virgin olive oilsalt and pepper
Preparation
To prepare steaks, remove the steaks from the refrigerator at least an hour before preparation to ensure that the meat is at room temperature and the thermal shock will not make it lose its liquids immediately during cooking. Heat two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a non-stick pan then cook the beef steaks on one side for 2-3 minutes over high heat. Of course, the thicker the steaks, the more you will have to increase the cooking time but still try not to overcook the meat because, losing all its liquids, it will result in a hard and stringy slice. Turn the steaks, salt and pepper and shell, over each steak, an egg, salt and pepper the eggs and cover the pan with its lid and cook until the egg white is congealed. Serve the steaks accompanied by toast or sautéed with a knob of butter.
Enjoy!
