The sweet French toast is a traditional American dessert, contrary to what it might seem from its name, a typical dish to prepare for a hearty breakfast or for a hearty brunch. To make them we follow the same recipe proposed above, it will be the ingredients we will use to garnish them to make the difference. Jam, nutella, maple syrup, honey and fresh fruit will be perfect to bring to the table delicious sweet French toast at the right point. A tip to make them even tastier? Sprinkle everything with lots of icing sugar!
INGREDIENTS
BREAD IN BOXES 4 slices
EGGS 4
MILK 150 ml
BUTTER 150 gr
SALT
PEPPER
PREPARATION
Inside a bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt and pepper; Help yourself with a whisk to mix all the ingredients well. Take the slices of bread in boxes (one at a time) and dip them in the bowl with the eggs, leaving them to soak for a few moments. Pour a little butter into a non-stick pan and as soon as it melts brown the toast one minute per side (or at least until they take on a nice golden color and the desired crunchiness). Garnish the French toast with savory or sweet ingredients.
