Easter Dinner Focaccia

I Wanted something pretty for Easter Dinner. The focaccia decorated with vegetables is a soft white pizza whose peculiarity is to be stuffed on the surface with various vegetables creating a drawing, as if you were painting a picture!

In practice, instead of seasoning the pizza with vegetables placed on top at random, with a little imagination, you can create with the same compositions depicting meadows, landscapes, flowers, making your focaccia a real work of art!

Helping you with the various vegetables you have available (but also with olives, capers or spices) and with a pinch of imagination and creativity, your focaccia will be fantastic and you will even regret eating it!

With this recipe you will undoubtedly amaze your guests and your family.

Let's see the recipe right away.

INGREDIENTS

250 ml of water
4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons of sugar
2 teaspoons of salt
450 g flour
12 g fresh brewer's yeast

PREPARATION

To prepare the focaccia, dissolve the fresh brewer's yeast in the lukewarm water together with the sugar. Once dissolved, add the oil and pour everything over the flour, to which you have added the salt.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes vigorously until it is nice smooth. If you have a mixer or bread machine you can shorten the time and effort! Once the dough is ready, put it in a floured bowl and let it rise covered until doubled. It will take about 2 hours, the ideal would be in the oven off, with only the bulb on. After the time, take the dough and roll it out on a baking sheet (with parchment paper) of the shape you prefer. Add 2 tablespoons of oil, 2 tablespoons of water, spreading them with your fingers over the entire surface and a pinch of salt. Let rise for another 40 minutes covered with plastic wrap.
Now it's time to decorate your focaccia with various vegetables. Create your design with the help of red onions, very scenic, colored peppers, use sprigs of rosemary or parsley to create stems. Also use black olives and cherry tomatoes, peppercorns or capers. In short, unleash your creativity! When you have finished decorating your focaccia, give a round of oil and bake it at 200 °C (already at temperature) for about 25-30 minutes. Once baked, let everyone admire the beauty of your focaccia before biting it!
