Rigatoni with broccoli and sausage
But how good can a simple dish like broccoli and sausage pasta be?
Very much!
It is a first course that I love, both for the flavor and for the ease and speed it requires! The rigatoni broccoli and tomato combine two flavors, bitter and sweet, making this first course tasty and nutritious. The addition of aromatic spices makes it even more tasty on the palate. It is a first course suitable for those suffering from high blood pressure or prefer to eat following a low-sodium diet.
If you cook the sauce with the ideal smaller rigatoni, a good, healthy, simple and fast dish, with few ingredients but if instead you prepare your dish with vegetables or mussels and potatoes, opt for orecchiette with larger dimensions. In addition, the rest of the seasoning is prepared while the pasta is cooking, it is really child's play!
The trick to make everything tastier is to cook the pasta in the same water where the broccoli 😉 was boiled.
Did you know?
Ingredients for 4 people
350 gr half rigatoni
200 gr broccoli
200 gr pork sausage
4 tablespoons EVO oil
1 chili
pepper parmesan or pecorino cheese to taste
salt to taste
Cut the broccoli into florets and wash it. Boil the broccoli in salted water with half rigatoni. Heat the oil in a pan with the chili, remove the pork sausage from the casing and mash it with a fork in the pan, cook it for a few minutes, season with salt and continue cooking for a few more minutes. Drain the pasta with the broccoli and let them flavor in the sauce with sausage. Add grated parmesan or pecorino cheese to your taste and serve hot: enjoy your meal!
TIP: when the water for the pasta reaches the degree of boiling, throw the broccoli florets first, wait for the water to boil again and than throw the pasta in.
