Meatloaf with prosciutto and herbs with speck

Preparing the meatloaf with prosciutto and herbs harnessed with speck is really very simple and the result is really good. A second course that will make everyone agree in the family. The delicious speck harness and the filling with cooked prosciutto, herbs and stringy cheese make this dish very tasty. The meatloaf is a traditional second course, loved all over the world. 

Here is the recipe to prepare it and some useful information for the preparation.

Ingredients:

600 g mixed minced meat (veal and pork)
150 g cooked prosciutto 
1 egg
140 g boiled mixed herbs
40 g grated Parmesan cheese
120 g of stringy cheese type Caciotta or Fontina cheese
40 g breadcrumbs
150 g sliced speck
extra virgin olive oil
salt, pepper, nutmeg
1 bunch of chopped parsley or thyme

Preparation

In a bowl put the minced meat and add the egg, grated cheese, breadcrumbs, a pinch of salt, pepper and nutmeg. Add also the chopped parsley or thyme and mix to form a ball. Spread it on a sheet of baking paper, and covering it with another sheet give it the shape of a rectangle. Remove the top sheet of paper and cover the surface with the ham slices. Then add the herbs already boiled previously. Finally, add the slices of cheese. Help yourself with baking paper and roll up the meatloaf. Now wrap with the slices of speck, then wrap it in baking paper closing the flaps to candy. Heat the oven to 180 C, put the meatloaf wrapped in baking paper and cook at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Then remove the baking paper and complete the cooking for another 15 minutes. Take the meatloaf with prosciutto  and herbs with speck out from the oven and serve it with sauces or roast sauce.
