Sausage Onions and Peppers

The Sausages with Peppers and Onions in a pan are a complete second course very tasty and easy to prepare. In practice we combined a few ingredients that we had available such as fresh sausages, four peppers, two green and two red (of course you can also use only red or green or yellow peppers depending on what we have at home) and white onions and we cooked everything in a pan over medium heat for about half an hour, flavoring everything with oregano and capers. In short, a very simple dish but at the same time very appetizing!

Ingredients:
2 red peppers
2 green peppers
3 sausages
2 white onions
1/2 glass of white wine
capers in salt to taste
dried oregano
extra virgin olive oil to taste
salt

Peel and slice the onions. Clean the peppers, remove the core and seeds and cut them into strips. Remove the sausages from the skin and cut them into small pieces. Heat the oil in a pan and add the onions and sausages. Cook over high heat for a few minutes and sprinkle with white wine. Once the wine has evaporated, add the peppers, flavored with oregano and capers previously washed and season with salt. Cook the sausages with peppers and onions over moderate heat for about 30 minutes or until the peppers are well cooked. If necessary, add a little water. Serve the sausages with peppers and onions in a hot pan.

A tasty second course to prepare everything in a single pan without getting too dirty. The sausage with peppers and onions is very easy to prepare, also excellent enjoyed lukewarm or maybe at room temperature. It will seem strange but I often stuff sandwiches for outings with this specialty, simply fabulous!
